The Grizzlies are proud to announce that after having an open vote on the jersey selection for the 2012 season that the white jersey was the overwhelming choice to be the official away jersey by a 3 to 1 margin. The jerseys are on order and we will be accepting separate orders for parents to order their own official game jerseys at a later date including the last two registrations. Feel free to contact Mike Curran for more information. We will only process one order for these as they take 5 weeks to produce and are custom jerseys. Cutoff date will be June 30th for adult orders.

The Chicago Bears Youth Football Camp is coming to Westminster High School in Elgin at the end of July. Arlene was able to negotiate a deal for Gilberts Grizzlies kids to attend. CHICAGO RUSH 2ND ANNUAL TCYFL ALL STAR FOOTBALL GAME
The Chicago Rush is excited to host the 2nd
Annual TCYFL All-Star Game on June 16th! Starting at 3PM. come support your program’s All-Star as they will be matched up against the best players in the Chicagoland area. Stay around, as the final quarter will be played at the halftime of the Rush v. Force game at 7PM! The June 16th game will also feature the "Teddy Bear Toss benefiting the Red Cross", and fans are encouraged to bring a new teddy bear to throw onto the field following the first Chicago Rush touchdown.

The first annual Gilberts Football SPEED camp is coming up soon. Please download the form
(CLICK HERE) with all of the information. This camp will focus on speed, core, resistance, and skills enhancement to get faster, stronger and more flexible for the fall season for kids 9 and up. The camp is open to everyone that wants to improve their skills regardless of who you play for in the fall.

The Gilberts Grizzlies have upgraded their spirit wear selections for football and cheer for the upcoming season with new designs and new items. We are providing descriptions and images of all items for you to look at before you purchase. You may download the forms from the forms section to the website and drop off your orders at upcoming registrations. Orders will be done a few times before the season with specific dates. You may contact Karielle nava for cheer and Cindi Link for football related questions concerning dates and payment iformation for spirit wear items.

2012 Registration
2012 on-line registration for the Gilberts Grizzlies Youth Football and cheer program is open. The process for on-line registration is very easy, just click on the registration tab. If you are a new user, you will need to complete a login id and a password. If you are a returning member, you can login and simply fill out the required forms and payment information and complete registration.
Please take advantage of our early bird discounts up until the first in person registration on March 10th and the opportunity to reserve your number for the season. This will be offered on line until March 10th and jersey numbers will not be reserved after this date. Jersey number requests will be done on a first come, first serve basis in order of registration.
In person registration will be held at the Eagles Club on March 10, May 12 and June 9 from 12 - 3 pm. See attached flyer for more information.
All football players will need to be sized at one of the in-person registrations prior to receiving equipment. Cheerleaders will be sized at a date to be announced.

The Gilberts Grizzlies Youth Football and Cheer Association play in the highly respected TCYFL football Organization. You can find a list of all the premier teams that play in the TCYFL at www.TCYFL.net. TCYFL is the largest independent youth football league in the country. Come join our program and play with the feeder programs that our District High Schools play against. This is a great way to prepare your child to play High School Football or Cheer. All our coaches are ASEP certified and teach our children the fundamentals of football and life.

The Grizzlies welcome Karriel Nava and Cindi Link to the Grizzlies Board, Karriel Nava is our new Vice President of Cheer and Cindi Link is the new Volunteer Coordinator.

GYFCA INFO
GYFCA is an association that plays and cheers in a highly competitive and highly respected organization. If you want to play comptetive football, we will welcome kids that want to learn, have fun, play hard, and be rewarded for their effort. Parents are assured that the coaches that teach the game of football and cheer in our program are all ASEP certified, USA coaching certified and undergo a GYFCA board interview and a background check on a yearly basis. Tenure for all coaches is lost on December 31st of the year in which coaches coach and each year everyone goes through an evaluation process to insure we have the best coaches out on the field. The Grizzlies primarily serve kids from Carpentersville, Hampshire, Dundee, Pingree Grove, and Sleepy Hollow, and that feed into Dundee Crown, Hampshire, Jacobs, and St. Edwards high schools.
We accept kids outside of Gilberts and welcome everyone to our program and all families are treated with respect and treated like family. All kids are given an equal opportunity to earn their position on each team. Playing time is earned on ability in our program. GYFCA believes in open and fair competition at all levels and all positions.
